I'm filing this bug since it will probably come up anyway (there are already a number of threads about it on the SUMO forums):
In the gmail webmail-client when creating a message hitting the button to upload an attachment has no effect.
The problem started occurring today and is present among all Firefox channels (release-nightly) and reproducible in a new profile. It was most probably triggered by a server-side change and so it's likely up to Google to fix it again...

Can confirm it happens in Firefox stable (31) and Firefox nightly (34).
Google's script now requires pop-up permission (code change on Gmail?).
User is not alerted to the problem: the infobar does not display.
Browser Console shows:
ev.popupWindowURI is null
browser-content.js:292
On its support forum, Google says "we're looking into it" and promises to report back in the thread:

Per https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/gmail/q0BxcGOa6pk/AdfzrS8Pif8J it's fixed as of yesterday afternoon.
