1050397 - Disappearing bookmarklets in my bookmarks toolbar after Syncing

I noticed that after I've logged into Sync and after the Sync finished, that bookmarklets from my bookmarklets folder in my bookmarks toolbar disappeared.
I even had a case where all by bookmarklets would disappear.

I've attached a sync error log of the failed sync.

This is in Firefox Beta on a non-clean profile, with all kinds of extensions (but not with any bookmarks or Sync related ones), btw.
I tried to reproduce this in a new, clean profile, but then I hit bug 1050401.

Ok, I managed to reproduce this on trunk too, with a new, clean profile (I copied the places.sqlite from the other profile to the clean profile to workaround bug 1050401).

You mean a new Sync account, I've used a new Sync account.

Sounds like one of your clients screwed up uploading records. Sync isn't at all fault tolerant in this regard.

I can't reproduce it now with trunk, on a new profile and a new Sync account, tried it several times.
So perhaps, my comment 4 is not correct, I'm beginning to think, and I've used the old Sync account. I guess I didn't remember correctly, perhaps.
The old Sync account is very old, a couple of years.

Ok, I managed to get some steps to reproduce:
- Open Firefox trunk with a new, clean profile
- In View->toolbars, make the bookmarks toolbar visible
- In the bookmarks toolbar, create a folder named 'bm', drag the "Getting started" link in there
- Create a Sync account and Sync your bookmarks with your account
- In Preferences->Sync disconnect your Sync account
- Exit Firefox
- Copy places.sqlite from my older profile (default profile) to this new, clean profile
- Open Firefox again, now I see the "bm" folder with all my bookmarklets in them (and all kinds of other folders and bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar folder)
- Now sign into your Sync account again

Result:
After Syncing, I get another "bm" folder added to the bookmarks toolbar, in it is the "Getting started" link as expected, but another 9 bookmarks were added. Not sure where those are coming from. They don't appear to come from the other "bm" folder from my old profile.
I recognize them as old bookmarks from my "bm" folder before this "disappearing bookmarklets" event happened.
I guess there is something wonky with that places.sqlite file.
