Tabbing down to the GitHub sign in option closes the widget. I believe the code is expecting the last item in a submenu list to be a close button.
Can I make an over-the-top addendum?

With the old button, I could use Firefox's "Quick Find within link-text only" keyboard shortcut [1] - i.e., the ' key - to simply type:

' sign + Enter

To click the sign-in button. Can we make the text here into link elements to restore that functionality?

Luke, that's not possible with the new widget because you have to pick which of the two services you want to sign in with. There isn't a link we can put on "sign in" your options are "persona" or "github".
