User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140715214327 Steps to reproduce: open a new tab with firefox, my os is linux mint xfce with xfce-dusk theme so form elements have a dark background and light font color by default. Actual results: #newtab-search-text in the new tab page has a light background defined, but not the color of the text, resulting in light text on a light background for me. oddly enough this website defines both which is good. Expected results: when i type text into the #newtab-search-text element it should be visible, but because no color is defined in the css but background is defined it was more or less invisible to me what I was typing. This issue exists on MANY websites and is very irritating

This might break on Windows high contrast themes as well. The fix here is trivial, so we should just fix this.
