Steps to reproduce:

Tried to open the Mozilla support Thunderbird page about not-embedded, external content from within a received e-mail, from the occurring bar ("To protect your privacy Thunderbird has blocked external content in this message") within that e-mail, and then choosing Options, Options for managing external content..., and clicking the "More info about privacy problems of not-emedded content" link in the Options box, Privacy tab.
After this, the Thunderbird support page is appearing in a new Thunderbird tab in the background, while the Options box is staying in the foreground.
The problem appears, when clicking away the Options box, because it is in the way for reading the support page.
This problem does not occur when entering the same support page from within the Thunderbird menu, then reaching the Options box, Privacy tab and from there, clicking the same link and clicking away the Options box.

Note: I have translated everything from Dutch within my Dutch Thunderbird version. Perhaps some things are named differently in the English version. For instance, "Options" ("Opties" in Dutch), possibly is named "Extra" in the English Thunderbird version.

Actual results:

Actual result is, that the contents of the Thunderbird support page disappears after closing the Options box. (See the attached Thunderbird.jpg file for a screenshot of this result.)


Expected results:

Expected result is, of course, that the Thunderbird support page still could be read after closing the Options box (like that is indeed the case if the same page is reached from within the Thunderbird menu).

Seemingly not a problem on all platforms, I am on Windows 7, 32 bit though. If it is not a problem everywhere, that's only for the better then :)(In reply to Magnus Melin from comment #1)

Probably a side effect of calling ReloadMessage() here http://mxr.mozilla.org/comm-central/source/mail/base/content/mailWindowOverlay.js#3111
