We have an opportunity to design a Firefox Hello logo and icon. Currently, the only brand ID treatment for Hello is the Firefox Hello wordmark seen in slide 21 of this deck:

We're looking to create a logo and icon treatment that can better express the Hello personality attributes in the follow scenarios:
- Feature page on Mozilla.org
- Hello on-boarding
- Hello client UI dropdown
- Hello web app UI
- Browser toolbar (icon only)
- Firefox OS app icon
- Marketplace app icon 

The logo and icon should be unique to Hello and visually differentiate it from existing communications (talk/text/video) apps available through various services and app stores.

Hello is the simplest way to connect with the people you love around the globe. Because it's about connecting, the Hello logo and icon should reflect a sense of joy or excitement that comes along with speaking with someone special to you.

Update on timing: Based on our weekly Hello meeting yesterday, it sounds like the icon doesn't need to be in product until October (i.e. we don't need it for Beta), but we should still work on this concurrently with the onboarding tour and product page (bug 1050485) so we're not just slapping it into the design at the last minute. Depending on what we come up with, it may help to inform the page design and onboarding experience.

October 5, 2014. Delivering this by then will get us into 34 Beta on October 14. 

However, the icon design may inform the feature landing page design so we can work together on that timeline. 

Definitely worth a quick meeting.

The logo design had been routed through Product Marketing and Product UX teams last week, and hopefully will be approved this week.
