An extremely large webpage gets dowloaded and rendered onto the screen, but just
before download is completely finished mozilla segfaults. As a reference
encompass could dowload and render page correctly.

Reporter:
Which build are you using ? (Please poste the build ID in every bug report)
Have you installed a plugin that handles .midi (use Help/About Plugins).
If you are using plugger, can you upgrade the the newest version ?
If you are crashing with the new plugger, can you please use a talkback enabled
build and poste the build id ?
(run Install-Dir/components/talkback.so after talkback submitted the crash)
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash
no crash with an 8h old CVS build, Linux.
There is a freeze during pagload, for approx. 20 sec., then it continues to load.
Far down the page is a grey area seemingly for some plugin, but nothing loads
there. I wasn't prompted for plugins.

from email :
I used:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:0.9.5) Gecko/20011012
RealPlayer(tm) 7.0 LiveConnect-Enabled Plug-In
Plugger version 3.3
Shockwave Flash 5.0 r47
Java(TM) Plug-in 1.3.1-b24
Default Plugin
Now that I installed the talkback build
1. no segfault when having no plugins
2. with plugins (same ones as above) still a segfault
i sent some info using the talkback agent

kim.sandstrom@bigfoot.com - please let us know if you are still seeing this in
recent builds.
Gerv
i've just tested the page, and didn't get any crash (build 2001123121)
I still get a crash on mozilla 0.9.7.
I actually suspect my flash plugin for the crash.
Java(TM) Plug-in 1.3.1-b24
Default Plugin
Plugger 3.3
rpnp.so (RealPlayer Plugin)
Shockwave Flash 5.0 r47
moving files:
libflashplayer.so ShockwaveFlash.class
away from /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
and thus removing flash. results in mozilla *not* crashing!
funny thing is that's really the newest flash version afaik.
