faulty startup when browser and mail tool simultaneouly started

Details
I set the preferences to start both the browser and the mail tool.
At the end of the startup, the browser operation is wrong. For instance:
1) if I go to look at the bookmarks menu, and slide the cursor down the list
the menu will disappear
2) if I go then to the URL and attempt to enter an address manually
I get the bookmark editor
If I terminate the browser, but leave the mail tool up, then restart the browser.
1) The default home page is not presented (the URL line is blank)
2) under this sequence, all works except the start up of the default page.
If I do not simultaneously start the browser and the mail tool, the above
problems do not exist. That is: start the browser only, then start the mail tool
under the browser.
This problem maybe part of bug 105435, because I have found bug 105435 goes away
if I do not start the mail tool at the same time.

i tried to repro this using 2001.11.19.08-comm bits on rh7.2, but couldn't.
0. created a new profile.
1. launched the browser.
2. created a mail account.
3. set the Appearance pref to open both the browser and mail on startup.
4. exited and restarted.
result: both the browser and mail window open fine. i have no problem with the
bookmarks menu either.
could you try this with a more recent build, and with a new profile? thanks!
marking wfm for now...
