User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140716183446 Steps to reproduce: some other application than firefox (ff) caused a bluescreen. I had firefox open in the background, ie. not active window, on a Win7/64 system with all KBs installed and >> 100 tabs open (only one window open; all in the same window) for > 60hours. The session survived >100 shutdown/boot cycles and ff has always been successfully auto upgraded. Actual results: After rebooting the pc and restarting ff, i lost all the tabs and ff didn't show a sessionrestore screen but the set startpage instead. Obviously, there's no ff minidump to be expected because win bluescreened for another reason than ff and there isn't any, but I found out that a sessionstore.bak with the correct timestamp of the bluescreen has been created and it seems to shows a reasonable size of ~8MB, but every single byte is 0x00. The same thing happened to me a few times before, every time with the annoying result of loosing all tabs. Expected results: sessionstore.bak shouldn't have been filled with zeroes but with the most recent consistent session description.

I reproduce this even with the latest Nightly builds when I meet BSOD or reset with hardware key. Interestingly, pinned tabs are restored but only a normal tab is opened with Nightly's homepage. And "Recently closed tabs" and "Recently closed window" are lost too. (FYI: My machine has some trouble around system strange, sometimes stops response.) I wonder, session manager overwrites existing files? If so, it should always create new file and rename it after completely created the files.
