STR: 1. have 1 roaming SIM 2. Open Settings > SIM Manager 3. Look at the SIM information at the top Expected: * should see the original carrier Actual: * we see only the carrier where we're connected locally, which is not really useful. * we see also the phone number if this data is available, which is good, but not good enough, because some SIM don't have this data.

Here is an example I see with a BASE card in my second slot - if I understand what Julien is saying it would be expected to see BASE as the carrier name in the 2nd SIM Slot instead of AT&T which is the local carrier when I am roaming.
Marcia, you read my mind :) That's exactly it. Actually I'd like to see both names. The rationale is that with the current display we can't see which SIM is roaming at the first glance. Having a "roaming" flag could help as well. NI UX

Does the system provide gaia with this information? UX can't show it if we don't get it.

I don't know. Hsin-Yi, do you know?

(In reply to Julien Wajsberg [:julienw] from comment #4) > I don't know. Hsin-Yi, do you know? Yes, gecko provides the information already. Gaia could get the original carrier information from MozIccInfo.mcc and .mnc.
