The about:newtab search bar should support the Ctrl-Up and Ctrl-Down shortcuts just like the top right search bar

Details

When opening a new tab (Ctrl-T), I usually focus the search bar with Ctrl-K. Starting a few days ago, instead of the top-right search bar being focused, I now have the "about:newtab", in-the-middle-of-the-page search bar being focused. This is fine, but the Ctrl-Up and Ctrl-Down keyboard shortcuts for cycling between search engines no longer work.

(Switching about:newtab to "blank" mode does _not_ provide a workaround, but results in a different bug, namely bug 1054931)

Thanks,

~ jonathan

This will be fixed by bug 1054776. This is still a valid enhancement request for about:home/about:newtab, though.
Removing the regression keyword since the regression part of comment 0 is handled by bug 1054776.
