Once we get the code coverage integrated, we should get a warning, mail or error when the percentage of coverage decreases after a change landed.
This sounds very similar to what we do with Talos regressions, though I'm not sure where that code lives.
Note that the original goal is to have this running once per week so the regression range will be quite large.. Though it would still be good to get notified, we probably shouldn't spam patch authors like we did (still do?) for Talos notifications.
That would be a first step.
We could also run smaller/faster test suites.
