User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/36.0.1985.143 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: I receive an e-mail from citetrack@alerts.stanford.edu (copy attached). All e-mail from this source behaves the same. Actual results: This e-mail automarked as junk and moved into my junk folder. I then select the e-mail in the junk folder and mark it as NOT JUNK. When I switch back to the inbox, the e-mail is again marked as junk and moved to the junk folder. I have repeated this 10 times. It is always remarked as junk. Expected results: If I mark something in the junk folder as "not junk", it should go back to the inbox and never be automatically marked as junk again.
Do you regularly (eg daily, weekly) mark some messages both junk and not junk? See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls

No. I mark an occasional mail in my inbox as junk. I almost never have to mark something as "not junk". I did notice that the mail I was trying to mark as "not junk" is now staying in my inbox. Perhaps there is a race condition. So, when I first mark it as "not junk", it goes back to the inbox, which marks it as junk again. If I receive another piece of mail from the same sender, it now stays in the inbox and is not marked as junk. Thus, it may only be the original piece of mail that keeps getting marked as junk. I think this is a clue!

Thanks for the update. Please See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls For proper operation, it is necessary to train sufficient numbers of messages *both* junk and non-junk. And then continue do so occassionaly on an ongoing basis.
