1. Open a page. 2. Press F11 to go to fullscreen mode. The window is maximized (including hiding the taskbar), but the top bars are not being hidden, despite browser.fullscreen.autohide being set to true (default value). Also, when Alt+Tab-ing out of Firefox, a graphics glitch occurs where the titlebar is rendered over the tabbar and stays there until something, e.g. Ctrl+L, triggers re-rendering of the tabbar (see attachment). I already tried uninstalling Firefox and deleting Appdata/Local and Appdata/Roaming directories related to Firefox (including my profile). The issue occurs unchanged across Firefox 31.0 with FirefoxPortable 31.0 I am running Windows 8.1 64bit on a hybrid-graphics notebook. Firefox uses only the integrated Intel HD4000. The issue started occuring later than the sessionstore issues https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1014214 for me, so I'd guess at 30.0 or 31.0 as the first version affected.
Can you attach the graphics output on Help > Troubleshooting info, and try if the graphics corruption goes away in safe mode? If so, can you try upgrading your graphics driver? Tracking multiple issues in the same bug report gets confusing very quickly - please could you file a separate bug about the toolbars not being hidden, and check that in safe mode as well (Help > Restart with add-ons disabled) ? Feel free to add me in the CC field.

Attached file Help > Troubleshooting
I don't actually think the toolbar not hiding and the graphics glitch are separate bugs; It looks more like the toolbar isn't being re-rendered, because it is supposed not to be shown in the first place. Curiously though the exact behaviour changed after switching to the en_US version -- instead of always glitching when Alt-Tabbing, the graphics glitch now does not occur when the bar is focused. If the glitch occurs, moving the mouse over the top symbol-bars area now triggers re-rendering. Curiously, in safe-mode the behaviour is as before. As for the being a separate bug: I looks like artefacts causes by not re-rendering the symbol-bar area, which would be correct behaviour, if the bar were hidden as expected. So I don't think it's a separate issue. What however MAY be a separate issue is that the "Open menu" Button doesn't work either (which I didn't notice before, because I prefer using the traditional menu bar with the Alt-key). Disabling hardware acceleration didn't help either. The troubleshooting information is attached as a text file.

(In reply to yu_icq from comment #3) > Curiously, in safe-mode the behaviour is as before. Are you saying the issue is fixed in safe mode? > As for the being a separate bug: I looks like artefacts causes by not > re-rendering the symbol-bar area, which would be correct behaviour, if the > bar were hidden as expected. Does this button work in safe mode? If not, if you open the browser console, what errors appear?

> Are you saying the issue is fixed in safe mode? No, I meant that the issue in safe-mode is as I described it in the original report. I probably was running Firefox in safe-mode with the German version already though due to the issues, so it's not a difference between the language versions. > Does this button work in safe mode? If not, if you open the browser console, what errors appear? No, it does not work in safe mode. In the browser console nothing shows up when clicking the button.

About the "graphics glitch", like bug 972896.
I didn't managed to reproduce this issue on the latest release(43.0.2) nor the latest Nightly(46.0a1). Also, the "Open menu" button works as expected. When clicking on "Open menu" button wile the browser is in full screen mode, the menu is displayed. User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Build ID: 20151221130713 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 Build ID: 20160105030211 Can you please try to reproduce this on the latest release(43.0.2) and latest Nightly(46.0a1) and provide the results? When doing this, you could create a new clean Firefox profile, or maybe test in safe mode, as some of this issues may be caused by third party installed addons or custom settings (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Thank you, Vlad

I couldn't reproduce it anymore. I also can't remember when I last saw it. User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0

Considering this, I will close the issue. Thank you, Vlad
