This bug will contain the full list of items that we want to display on the dashboard as notifications.

A possible list of notifications could be the following:

- A comment on a report
- A comment on an event
- A comment on a voting
- When a user changes mentor
- When a user becomes unavailable
- When a user becomes inactive
- When someone comments on a bug (without a needinfo flag)
- Display a notification to the mentee when a mentor verifies a report
- When a user joins the portal for the first time

Apart from the last three items, every other action in the list above generates an email (multiple in some occasions) to inform the user.
Should we consider any item from the list above to be an "action item" and not a notification?

Those all look like things that are very worthy of being packed away into a more ignorable "notifications" section.

These look great! A couple small suggestions that I will explain as user stories.

As a Rep, I want to be notified when my mentor or one of my mentees becomes unavailable.

No, these all seem good as notifications to me.

I am not sure if we really need that one. I think that's a nice to have, but the overhead of syncing the bug comments in our DB seems too much. Also the majority of the reps will receive a notification from bugzilla if they are somehow involved with that bug. I don't have strong feelings though, if the rest of the team wants to include that in portal's notification list.

I agree with comment 4. Since Bugzilla will send email notifications for those bugs, this notification feels like a nice to have on the Reps Portal.
