H264 crash reporting notification not always shown
STR: 1. Open Nightly with new profile. 2. Wait for OpenH264 plugin to install. 3. Set pref 'media.gmp.plugin.crash' as 'false' (you need to create it) 4. Visit http://mozilla.github.io/webrtc-landing/pc_test.html and start a h.264 video call 5. While the call is on, change the pref value to 'true' Expected result: The crash reporting notification is shown. Actual result: The crash reporting notification is not always displayed. Notes: 1. I reproduced this only on Ubuntu 14.04 32bit, I tried on Ubuntu 13.04 64bit but I was not able to reproduce, same with Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.9.4. 2. Attached screencast showing the issue. 3. In terminal I get this after crashing: WARNING: pipe error (114): Connection reset by peer: file /builds/slave/m-cen-lx-ntly-0000000000000000/build/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 452
ted, any ideas? Especially about the Ubuntu version relationship?
I don't know offhand, gfritzsche would be a better person to ask.

It's hard to tell anything without spending a little time investigating first.
Note: the screencast also shows selecting "Mode 0"; is this required? In any case, I'm unable to reproduce on Fedora 19 Debug (mode 0 or not). Can you try a debug build with NSPR_LOG_MODULES=gmp:5 and set MOZ_IPC_MESSAGE_LOG=1
Attached are the logs for Nightly 34.0a1 debug build (Build ID: 20140901180413) from a Linux 14.04 32-bit machine. Please note that now, intermittently, the crash reporting notification is displayed, but “Submit crash report” button is missing.
Attached are the logs for NSPR_LOG_MODULES with gmp:5 and signaling:5
