Press button in composition window and Mozilla hangs, have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to
task manager and close the task, after waiting for windows to report that the
application is not responding.
I first noticed it when trying to reply to a mail. After restarting I saved the
message in the drafts folder of the account which had received the mail.
I thought it may be an SMTP bug, I have two SMTP servers one requires
authorisation the other doesn't.
Tried the various SSL options for those servers but nothing worked, same result
each time, so I reverted to the 0.9.5 release.
I tried with a test message and Mozilla hung when I hit the "address" button to
select from address book.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open composition window
2. Compose e-mail
3. Click send

Actual Results:  Mozilla hangs, none of the three windows open respond (browser
window, mail window, composition window).
CTRL-ALT-DEL to task manager and kill Mozilla.


Expected Results:  Mail sent, no hang

Some more information :
The "attach" and "save" buttons work as expected, it's only the "address" and
"send" buttons which cause the hang.
Also, I just tried another test, I was going to send a mail using only the menus
rather than the buttons to try and isolate the problem. Halfway through keying
in the e-mail address Mozilla hung again.

I can confirm this (also on Win98SE).  The composition window opens fine and
everything is great until I try to enter a recipient email address.  After
digging around, I discovered the following:

Two of my several addressbooks are showing 0 entries in the Addressbook Manager,
which also hangs when I try to edit addressbooks.  If I remove these two entries
from prefs.js, mail composition is fine.

Win32 build 2001101603 has no problem with these same addressbooks.  It starts
with the 10/17 build.

please try with a new build and clean profile.
a lot of bugs has been fixed, including some "hangs"
