In bug 1055102, we ran into troubles because the Firefox client was uploading JSON records with bad UTF-8.

We should add explicit test coverage to Bagheera and whatever else to ensure that bad JSON records are rejected where they are supposed to be (and that we get metrics into that) and that properly encoded JSON with UTF-8 makes it to HBase.
FHR is gone client-side.
