1057930 - Impossible to resize devtool console if devtool console is maximized

Pretty sure this is an edge case but today I had to pull the devtool up to make the console longer/larger.

See screenshot. I am unable to resize. I am also not too sure how to resize besides flipping the devtool orientation.

Hi, I just ran into this issue today. I'm unable to pull down the developer tools. I've tried everything I can think to fix the problem (other than deleting the Firefox profile).

Steps to reproduce:

1. Connect your laptop to a large monitor.
2. Work on Firefox with Developer Tools.
3. Disconnect from large monitor.
4. Try to work on Firefox with Developer Tools.
5. Cannot resize.

I've attached a screenshot. This is Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0.

A fix was made for this issue in Firefox 39 in bug 971129.  Since you're using 38, you don't have that fix yet.  You could switch to 39, or you can workaround the issue manually:

1. Make sure the toolbox is closed
2. Reset devtools.toolbox.footer.height in about:config

Then the toolbox should be small enough that resizing is possible.
