105795 - IE favorites read at browser launch: 12% of startup time with 400 favorites

I have about 400 files in c:\windows\favorites\ (not counting files in 
subfolders).  Mozilla reads each one when it launches, accounting for 12% of 
the time it takes Mozilla to launch.

400 MHz PII, 128 MB RAM, Win98 runnning Mozilla build 2001101803.

Programs used:
- Sysinternals File Monitor, to determine which files Mozilla is reading.
- "Another Task Manager", for timing launches.  (Thanks for the tip, jesus_x.)

Method:
- Minimize everything.  (I have mIRC, AIM, AudioGalaxy, etc running.)
- Double-click on Mozilla icon on desktop.
- Move cursor to taskbar to avoid mouseover cpu
- Active a program called "Another Task Manager" using taskbar icon.

With favorites in c:\windows\favorites\:
6929 6921 6897 6914 ms  (outlier at 14875 ms ignored)

With favorites temporarily moved elsewhere:
6093 6072 6057 6038 6076 ms

clearly file i/o will dominate in this case.
