Flame2.1logcat.txt

Description:
During FTE, once you reach 'Import Contacts' Screen, you can use Outlook to open the Browser app by clicking on the "What's This?" Hyperlink. If you can bring the device into Card View, you can close FTE before it's finished and be brought to the Homescreen.

Prereq:
Have access to a wireless signal.

Repro Steps:
1) Update a Flame device to BuildID: 20140825040204
2) During FTE, connect to a router on the "Select a network" page.
3) Once you reach "Import Contacts" tap on 'Outlook'
4) Tap on the blue hypertext link above the login text box that says "What's this?"

Actual:
The Browser app is opened.

Expected:
Nothing happens.

Flame 2.1 (319mb)

Environmental Variables:
Device: Flame 2.1 Master
BuildID: 20140825040204

Firmware: V123
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:33.0) Gecko/33.0 Firefox/33.0

Notes: If you are on Flame 2.1, you can access the 'Rocketbar' through the 'Browser' address bar, giving you access to all the apps on the phone before FTE has finished. It is very difficult to get into Card View. I opened a few apps and jumped between them, constantly long-pressing the Home button. After awhile, it would take me into Card View. The FTE was labeled "Undefined" in card view.

Robert, please check your steps they seem incomplete? Also, why would the hyperlink not be expected to do anything?

When I checked the issue on 1.4 the same hyperlinks were there, but, except for a few, they were all disabled. Tapping on them did nothing. So I assumed this was the desired behavior.

As for the steps, the main issue about this bug is that you can open the browser app before finishing the FTE. The steps cover getting that to happen. The extra problems that can occur after that I mention in the notes section.

As a user i expect that a hyperlink takes me to the appropriate page when clicked on. 1.4 could have been a different issue altogether. I need to know what issue you are encountering once you click on "What's this"?

Description:
During FTE/FTU Import Contacts process, if you choose the Outlook option and tap on the Hyperlink "What's This" on the next page, the Browser app opens. If you use edge gestures to swipe between the Browser app and the FTE window, and then long press the home button, eventually it will go into card view where you can close the FTE window and skip straight to the home screen.

Repro Steps:
1) Update a Flame device to BuildID: 20140825040204
2) During FTE, connect to a router on the "Select a network" page.
3) Once you reach "Import Contacts" tap on 'Outlook'
4) Tap on the blue hypertext link above the login text box that says "What's this?". The Browser app should open.
5) Use edge gesture to swipe to the 'Browser' app.
6) Use edge gesture to swipe back to the Outlook window.
7) Long press Home button.
8) You should go into card view. If not repeats steps 5, 6, and 7 until you do.
9) While in card view, close the 'Browser' and FTE(labled as 'Undefined') window to skip the rest of the FTE process and go to Homescreen.

Although, it's not desired that the user can skip the FTE process, this issue seems to be an involved process that few end users would encounter so not nominating to block on this.
