Thank you for participating in the bug bash and for filing this bug. After a lot of internal discussion, we have decided not to change the location and direction of the back button, until we can also change the direction of task manager and edge gestures. If we change the back button without changing the rest of the spatial model, we'll have very confusing UX. We would have, for example, a right-pointing button but a transition animation that went in the opposite direction and more. We do hope to make these changes in the future, but we won't be able to make them soon, so resolving WONTFIX for now though this is VERY much on our radar.
