Details
From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:0.9.5) Gecko/20011011 BuildID: 2001101117 When I scroll to bottom or to top of any page, Mozilla freezes. It is accessing harddisk for 30 secs (or more) but nothing happend at all. I have Win 95 osr2e, using Genius netscroll Mouse and Microsoft IntelliPoint Software version 3.20. Previous milestone (0.9.4) works well. Scrolling page via scrollbars or by keys, it works OK as well. When I chage wheels behavior to eg. zooming text, no problems appear. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. scrolling to page's bottom using wheel 2. 3.

This happens for me as well, and seems to have been happening on all builds since 0.9.5. I have an MS Intellimouse Explorer and have used it with and without its drivers (point32.exe, et al.) loaded. The freeze is originating from Moz's mousewheel handling and can always be duplicated.

I can confirm this one. Neither new Profile, disabling Mouse Helper app nor using a new driver solved this problem. I stuck back to .9.4 till this is solved. btw: no error msgs. in console, it doesant lock the whole system, I can still kill it using Ctrl+C OS: Win95, Win98, Win98 SE With Linux it works fine for me.

WFM Mozilla 0.9.5+ Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011101, Windows 98SE, MS Intellimouse software driver 4-23-99, USB. Default Intellimouse settings, default Mozilla settings. For the people who have problems, could you tell us what kind of interface the mouse has (USB, PS/2, etc)? Could you also say whether you are using custom settings in the (Intellimouse or other) mouse driver? Finally, what are your settings in the Mozilla "mouse wheel" prefs? No modifier key? Scroll page up or down? Scroll by one line or more than one line? Use system default?

Intellimouse Explorer original on a PS/2 port. Default settings for Moz MW. Point32 loaded or not, same result. This issue started between 0.9.4 and 0.9.5. Perhaps, some frontend change took place that goofed the mousewheel handling.

Can someone confirm that this is still happening in recent builds (0.9.9 or better yet a nightly build)?
