Hello Team!
We have been asked to code an FAQ page for tiles that will basically follow the exact template at the current DNT page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/dnt/
AND can we set up this new page as a template in github to easily allow the content services team to update the content on the page for 2 future FAQs?
Thanks,
Jen

We discussed setting up tiles FAQ the same way we did the legal docs, allowing updates via a github repo.

We're putting together the public facing FAQ page.

Sorry Bryan, I meant to ask what URL we should use for the page. I can see how the meaning of my sentence was lost when I omitted the key word.

This page is setup and ready for content: https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/blob/master/bedrock/firefox/templates/firefox/tiles.html
When the content is ready, we can help get it added, and then we'll need to 'enable' the page on bedrock.

One more question: Is the live date still Oct 14? Or is it now Nov 10?
Thx,

This looks like it slipped thru the cracks. The release date of Fx 34 on Nov. 11th is fast approaching. And if this page is going to be localized it will have to be done weeks in advance of this date.
Aaron has completed the Enhanced Tiles page in bug 1057540 comment #5 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8478450) and all it's missing is the FAQ text.
Also people have noticed this missing page in Aurora/Beta/Nightly and are starting to file bugs, 2 so far: bug 1084611 & bug 1084705.

Still unanswered, and given the amount of content we already have, kind of scary.

I'll get you some of the current links however we're putting together some new blog posts that won't be live until the 10th. What's the best way to coordinate the sync of that?

Aren't we still missing content? I didn't see any update to the PR after Steven's comment.
Also: for which locales do we need to expose this page? Only locales that will have Tiles enabled (de, es-ES, fr, ja, pl, pt-BR, ru) or more?
Where can localizers see the page?

Yeah, we don't have the links for the last FAQ answer, though clarkbw did post what they have so far (comment #21).
Bryan, will those links/link-titles be localized, or will be just be linking out to en-US blog posts?
Also, do you know how much those will change? Is it worth implementing the list you've got, or will it change dramatically? Thanks.

I think I finally was able to give you access to the original doc now, probs with google docs earlier.

I don't think those links will be localized.

We've got about 3 other blog posts that will be coming before the launch but I'd say its worth implementing what we have now as I assume the other posts won't be localized either.

For this release only the locales enabled will be important. Other locales can roll out with the coming 34 release which carries the additional locales.

Too bad we already started l10n on this page, and we're already incredibly late in the process. :-\

Feels like we'll have to stick with what we have given the constraints we're already placed on l10n. I don't think it'll be the case but I'll keep you updated if that needs to change for some reason.

I have two changes from PR for the page content, both are removals and I'm hoping that's going to be ok with l10n.
Drop the entire 'Empowering the Mozilla Community' paragraph
Drop the last 3 links for "Where can I learn more?" - specifically these:
* New Tab Experiments
* More Details on Directory Tiles
* Publisher Transformation with Users at the Center

I have updated the PR with the support link and removed the text as specified in Comment #35.

For reference, this page will need the /b/ bedrock redirect added to the global.conf before it will be visible in production. I think I'll leave this out for now so we can merge this into master before the launch date.
