This 'top-end' of the funnel is generally performing very well now, and our main focus and efforts are now the next step along the funnel (after account creation, doing something to teach the web)
But, while these pages are getting traffic we may as well run some basic on-page optimization.
The pages are:
* https://welcome.webmaker.org/get-started/
* https://welcome.webmaker.org/signup/learners/
* https://welcome.webmaker.org/signup/mentors/
If you have any particular things you want to test, note them in this bug. Otherwise I'll work on the standard options (Headline, images, button text, color, etc).

On the survey page we're now testing:
* Button text 'Start' vs 'Go!'
* Removing the second line of text after the heading
* Alternate Heading: 'Welcome to Webmaker'
* Alternate Heading: 'Teach and learn digital skills'

And on the Learners page we're now testing:
* Removing the 'Log in' button (it's next to the Create an account button)
* Shortening the intro text (removing the last sentence 'Sign up for Webmaker:')
* Button text 'Create an account' vs 'Sign up for Webmaker'

And for the Mentors page we're now testing the background color of the primary panel:
Existing = Blue @brand-info
The variations are:
Green @brand-primary
Teal @literacy-color-privacy
Grey @literacy-color-collaborating
Red @brand-danger
Pink @literacy-color-credibility
Colors are from the style guide:
http://mozilla.github.io/makerstrap/demo/#/
This is the page:

Only the green is showing promise at this stage so I've disabled the other color variations.

All three of these changes have a positive impact on conversion rate.

All three of these changes on the Learners page had a negative impact, but do provide ideas for further tests.
These variations have been stopped and the write-up is here:

The color test didn't produce any new winners, but we should consider testing that Blue on other primary landing pages for Webmaker. Write-up is here: https://docs.google.com/a/mozillafoundation.org/document/d/1I5f-UMSPmhJjlriuTIAK9c_bKqDsyrmqDe69CV51Bk4/edit
I'll close this ticket now as we're not getting the volume of snippet traffic to iterate on these quick tests any further.
