From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.5) Gecko/20011011 BuildID: 2001101117 I have a hard time reading some text on the above URL because it is covered with vertical black stripes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the above URL 2. Scroll the page up and down some Actual Results: Text revealed by scrolling is covered with vertical black stripes. Expected Results: Text should have been rendered in a readable fashion. This bug is possibly related to bug 101829 and bug 80292. Also it is probably a duplicate of bug 101907. As per Olivier Cahagne's comment from 2001-10-06 13:44 I file this new bug anyway.
wfm with build 2001101908 linux
I have not had this problem with any new .9 build even though I have the problem with bug #80292.
I can confirm this on Win2K build 2001101803. I also suffer from bug 80292. My workaround for 80292 is to bump hardware acceleration down a notch, and it clears up both this bug and 80292 together. I'd say that either this is a dupe of bug 80292 or they both stem from the same root imagelib problem. Confirming. --> imagelib

does this also happen with "Display resolution" set to 96 dpi in preferences under appearance/fonts ?
Reporter (Mr. Walles) and Mr. Johnston -- which video cards/drivers you using?
R.K.Aa: Yes, I am browsing at 96 dpi, and that's when the bug shows up. Mike T: I am using a Rage XL AGP 2X. Windows says that the drivers are versions 4.00.1381.1006 and 4.0.0. My display is set to 1280x1028 at 85Hz and "true color".
My setup is very similar to Johan's: 96dpi (small fonts) ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2x 1280x1024 @ 90Hz, 32-bit color Driver 5.00.2195.4018 Note my comments in bug 80292 that the problem disappears when setting my resolution to 1024x768 or lower, or bumping hardware acceleration down one notch.

Johan Walles: Per your request at bug 80292, I am experiencing bug 80292 but not this one (105986).
Temporarily moving to future until a milestone can be assigned.
