Steps to reproduce:
Recieved a couple photos over MMS on my ZTE Open C that could not be downoaded for some reason (exceeded size limit?) I was on 3G at the time.
Actual results:
I could not open the MMS and the error messages did not make any sense.
Expected results:
Provide an appropriate error message

NI reporter to:
1. have adb logcat for further analysis. (See https://github.com/bevis-tseng/Debug_Tools for how to enable the debug flag before capturing the logs.)
2. What version of FFOS did you used?
3. Is it this the same problem to bug 1031656 under Free Mobile?
4. If you are using master build, we have a regression and it has been fixed recently in bug 1057973 if the shared APN is applied in that carrier (Internet/MMS shares the same APN).

We made the error messages better since version 1.3, which I assume you're using.
