Did this also happen in version 24?

I have not tried version 24. I can move messages around with ease, but I'm not able to move contacts with either keyboard or menu commands.

When I'm in the address book section of Thunderbird, I can use control A or shift up and down arrows to select contacts to move or copy, but I can not copy them using clip board key commands which show disabled in Thunderbird. Even though these same commands show disabled in Firefox version 31.1, they work in Firefox. At present, I can not create group lists in Thunderbird.
I'm still not able to move contacts in the address books in to group lists. Moving messages in other parts of the program works very well, just the address book system is not working for me using menus or keyboard commands!
I have figured out a way that I can enter contacts in to a group list one at a time by typing them in to the combo box at the end of the list edit line. It would be so much easier if one could use the clipboard commands to copy and move contacts.
