When you doubleclick on someone mentioning #foo on IRC, it puts the nickname of the person who mentioned it in the message line. I know this is special casing for IRC, but it would be nice if it could put a line to join the channel in the message box instead.
I'd rather just make them links as bug 953846 proposes.

Also, the double clicking isn't special cased for IRC, as far as I know. It just only happens in MUCs, which most people only use on IRC.
