Hello, bug 1058971 was filed to provide translations for a few text properties on the New Tab page of the Firefox Desktop which could be considered 'legal text'.  I'm attaching the translations they provided for your team to review.  The translation service used would appreciate testing and is happy to take your feedback if you feel this text does not convey the correct Mozilla voice.  Ultimately this is your module and your translations but we requested these translations to assist your efforts.

Please keep the current translations of strings already translated. It seems like they got retranslated, e.g.

got a full stop added and "entfernt" has been changed to "enfernt" ("t" missing).

When switching from Enhanced to Classic view, the page with the highest ranking for the new tab page is only shown in the Classic view

Nod. We'll only need the new strings translated (and the aurora code is set up to only handle the new strings).

I've been asking around if there's a good way to not have text wrap around the <img>, but I haven't found a good solution. This seems to also be impacting ja as there's 「<img>」that get split onto separate lines.

Any suggestions would be helpful! Otherwise we'll probably want to restructure the sentence in a way that doesn't have punctuations that are right next to the image.

<span style='display:inline-block;'>%1$S,</span> works for me, but we likely want to add the previous word also to the block, so the part of the sentence with the image hasn't only the image on the next line.

Right, I thought about this but then it'll complicate the strings even more:

NOTE: %1$S will be replaced inline by newtab.intro.paragraph3.image without wrapping

It would allow for ja to do:

If so, we'll need to trigger string changes on nightly (and potentially aurora)?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh. You're putting that /in/ the localized string. The way it's implemented, I believe that does indeed work. Tricky. Dangerous. It works. ;)

I would keep it as "Partnerunternehmen". Clear enough, shorter and therefore easier to read and grasp. (Affects multiple strings after this as well.)

Ugh. "Bildschirmfoto" klingt komisch, haben wir das wirklich sonst auch? Ich würde "screenshot" stehen lassen. Aber "erweiterte Kacheln" klingt gut, ja.

Sorry for the two German comments, those are very specific to the German strings and I only realized again that this bug was in English after writing them. ;-)

Try seeing the title of https://www.mozilla.org/de/privacy/firefox/ (doesn't work for me.. it keeps redirecting to en-US).

SUMO started using that and after reading many support requests where people get the English words wrong, I don't regard that as a bad decision. Current usage: http://transvision.mozfr.org/?recherche=screenshot&repo=aurora&sourcelocale=en-US&locale=de&search_type=strings

Thanks, I see that "Privacy Notice" is "Datenschutzhinweis", so the sentence fits (with "unserem").
