Hello, bug 1058971 was filed to provide translations for a few text properties on the New Tab page of the Firefox Desktop which could be considered 'legal text'. I'm attaching the translations they provided for your team to review. The translation service used would appreciate testing and is happy to take your feedback if you feel this text does not convey the correct Mozilla voice. Ultimately this is your module and your translations but we requested these translations to assist your efforts.

Hi, sorry for missing the main bug, I oversaw it and thought it was more related to web content, which I don't usually handle.

I'm reviewing the attachments. The main problem I see is that all in-product content, including in-product pages like about:config, about:home and about:tabs is translated using a formal way to the user ("[Usted] ha abierto una pestaña" instead of "[Tú] has abierto una pestaña"). Note, however, that each es-* variant refers to the user in a different way, so the provided files could be useful for some of them.

A second minor issue is that the files are to be incorporated in the usual product l10n workflow for es-ES, and I use a L10n tool which strips comments from files (except license headers) in order to save space.

If you think it is a good idea, I'm going to localize the files through the usual workflow, trying to stick as much as possible to these attachments. I'll attach them here before committing them to the repo.
Attached file newTab_es-ES.dtd
newTab.dtd for es-ES with changes to the version included in attachment 8481670 [details].

Changes are:

- Comments removed.
- "Nueva pestaña" instead of "Pestaña nueva" to keep consistency across Firefox UI.
- "Restaurar todas" instead of "Restaurar todo" to (hopefully) better fit gender and number of what is being restored.
Attached file newTab.properties
newTab.properties for es-ES. Changes to the version included in attachment 8481669 [details] are:

- Comments removed.
- Spaces surrounding the equal sign that separates key from value (the L10n tool I use does it always that, so the diff in repository is actually way shorter)
- "Tesela" replaced by "Miniatura", which, although less accurate in meaning, is more frequent and understandable by most people.
- "Título" replaced by "Miniatura" in newtab.sponsored.explain, as it was incorrectly translated from "tile" (it was probably misread as "title").
- Directing to the user in the formal way used across Firefox UI ("usted" instead of "tú").

Thanks a lot for the screenshot! I've caught an error in the Privacy Notice message that I've fixed:

http://hg.mozilla.org/l10n-central/es-ES/rev/3568548a5944

Everything else looks fine to me, but I'm adding some folks from es-ES so they can review it, too.
Hi, guys, if you can take a look to the screenshot, keeping in mind that I've changed the privacy notice gender/number mismatch, it would be great. :-)

I like it, but maybe using "tesela" instead of "miniatura" is better. Anyway, I don't know if people know that word enough to be understood :(

@willyaranda They have already told us that in Argentina do not know "tesela" word and in Spain I do not think many people know that it is.
OK, I think there is no much more to this, so closing the bug.

Hi!

Please note the number and gender disagreement in this phrase: "conforme a nuestras Aviso sobre privacidad."
