I placed this under mozilla.org miscellaneous since I really don't know where else to place it.

I live in Virginia and my ISP is Verizon FiOS. For the last couple of weeks, I haven't been able to check out any code from hg.mozilla.org, and downloading files from ftp.mozilla.org have been extremely slow. For example, when trying to download MozillaBuild the other day, Firefox told me that the download would take an estimated 3 hours (just for an 80 MB file over a 70 Mbps connection).

The strange part is that when I connect via VPN to my university's network, or if I download the file on my remote server, the download speed is just fine (MozillaBuild downloads in 13 seconds), and the HG checkouts work.

Is there some routing network issue happening between Verizon's servers and Mozilla? All other websites work fine for me, and even mozilla.org, firefox.com, and bugzilla.mozilla.org work fine, but just ftp.mozilla.org and hg.mozilla.org act weird when downloading data.
I should have searched BMO more first. I found a recent duplicate.
