I have a bugzilla account under dhuseby@mozilla.com. I want to change the email address to huseby@bugzilla.email. The mistake I made was that I logged into dhuseby@mozilla.com using Persona. I then changed the email address to huseby@bugzilla.email. I'm not sure what happened at that point, but now I have two accounts. One under dhuseby@mozilla.com and another under huseby@bugzilla.email. The problem I have now is that the huseby@bugzilla.email account doesn't have the same vetted status and privileges as my dhuseby@mozilla.com account. What I want to do is switch to huseby@bugzilla.email and have the vetted status and privileges as before. I understand this means I won't be able to use Persona for bugzilla authentication anymore and that is fine by me. I'm not sure how to resolve this situation. I think what needs to happen is to delete the current huseby@bugzilla.email account so that I can log in using the old login system under dhuseby@mozilla.com and change the email address to huseby@bugzilla.email. Yes Persona is tricky in that the username Persona uses must match the one stored in the Bugzilla database or a new separate account is created. We can merge the incorrect account into the one you want to keep. Just login as the other account and make a comment to this bug vouching the merge. Also you will need to update your Bugzilla Email attribute in the Mozilla Phonebook (LDAP) so that you will get the standard Mozilla permissions. dkl

This is the account that I want to keep: huseby@bugzilla.email I understand that this will mean that I won't be able to log in via persona.
So I updated my mozilla phonebook entry for my bugzilla email address. That didn't seem to give me the vetting and privileges I used to have. Does that only work if I can log in via persona? I'm confused.

I'm confused. bugzilla isn't linked with ldap - we have a nightly report which we use to manually verify and update permissions. i've added huseby@bugzilla.email to the mozilla-employees group. do you want us to disable the dhuseby@mozilla.com account?
