Hi,

I was able to reproduce this issue when when the SMS app is already open, and then initiating an SMS from existing contacts in the Contacts App, or by tapping and holding on a phone number in the Call History and selecting Send Message.

ENVIRONMENT:
Device: Flame
Version: 2.0.0.0-prerelease
Build ID: 20140902000202

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Open the SMS application.
2. Tap the Home button.
3. Do one of the two:
     a) Open the Call History, long-press a phone number, and select Send Message.
   or
     b) Open the Contacts app, select a contact, and tap on the SMS icon.
5. Type anything.
6. Tap on the 'X' on the top left corner.
7. Tap on "Save as Draft".
8. Tap the Home button.
9. Re-open the SMS application that was in the background.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
The draft message that was just created should be visible.

ACTUAL RESULTS:
The draft message that was just created is not displayed. The user must close the SMS app and reopen it.

Please let me know if there is any information I could provide to help with the investigation and troubleshooting of this issue.

Thanks!!

- Ralph
Hi Ralph, we already got the issue in bug 1058459. It's confirmed that there is no proper way to notify the new draft added cross activity for now :( But we might need to propose a workaround in gaia first.
