  REPRODUCING PROCEDURES:
 
 -Turn on the cellphone with SIM card prepaid without balance.
 -Try to open the Apps(Facebook,Twitter,youtube, etc.)
 -You can see the white or black display all the time.
 -The cellphone does not give any prompt message.

 The cellphone should give a prompt message when SIM card prepaid without balance

When the sim card without balance, the network is open, although there is no
data in the network, but there is also no error message, so it trys to GET date
continually.
Can you please fix it and add a prompt message in this situation?

[Blocking Requested - why for this release]:It's unfriendly to end user that apps can't access server side for long time but no any prompt showed. End user may think there are some thing wrong with their handsets.

Hi Jack -

I think it is ODM's job to implement this kind of error message since Mozilla has no knowledge regarding what kind of error messages the pre-paid SIM will send to MMI when run out of balance, so please help to implement this one on your own

Dears,

As ODM/OEM, we also can't do anything for it because no useful information from network got under this condition.

I think there should be prompt to end user when no any valid content loaded in specific page for long time.

What do you think?

I have checked Flame master behaviour with a prepaid SIM card without balance.
1. When trying to open youtube/facebook, you will see a white screen with app title where nothing happens.
2. When typing for a URL in search bar: the device tries to get it for around 2'20" and then it stops (the progress bar on top of the display disappears) and you will see the white screen again.

IMHO, there is something to improve here but I agree that don't know the kind of message is received in device to know the balance run out. I guess it is better to say that something was wrong with the connection and had similar behaviour when user is connected but there is no data traffic. Is it possible?
