If someone sets warranty info on an item in inventory, I can't null it out later if that is invalid.
Use case: anything that's a VM would never have a warranty, because duh. I can't delete the warranty off when it gets accidentally set, and should be able to.
I'd like to get it nullable (like it's never been set) rather than do any weirdness like setting it to maxint/minint/zero.

I'd say that we should remove the requirement (and perhaps even the option) for warranty date on virtual machines, but it should not be optional or have the ability to set it to NULL if it's a physical machine.

We're in full on inventory deprecation mode. Closing this out.
