STR:
0. Have a chromecast on your wireless network.
1. In Firefox for Android, do Tools | Mirror Tab.
2. Drag down the Android top-bar, and tap the upper-right button to get the screen of system widgets (Brightness, Settings, WiFi, etc)
At this point, a "CAST SCREEN" button should appear at the bottom left. (Might take a few seconds.)
3. Tap "CAST SCREEN".
ACTUAL RESULTS: An Android dialog pops up (to let me cast my full Android screen), which says:
> [name of Chromecast device]
> Casting BlasseyTest
EXPECTED RESULTS:
It should probably say "Casting Nightly" or something like that.

This is Firefox Nightly, up to date. The "about:" page says 35.0a1 (2014-09-04).

(For completeness, I should probably provide a sample URL for the STR. Let's use http://theamazingdancingmfinkle.com/ )

And it looks like you can replace Step 2 with "Attempt to cast to your Chromecast from any other app, like say YouTube. [just tried that, and got a dialog like attachment 8484796 [details]] I've confirmed this using my original STR on my Nexus 4 phone (using STR in comment 0) and my Nexus 7 tablet (using YouTube). Both are running Android 4.4.4.

A MXR search for Blassey just turns up two code-comments: http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/search?string=Blassey So I suspect this isn't coming from the source code anywhere. Maybe we have "BlasseyTest" encoded in our out-of-tree Fennec build configuration somewhere?

I am assuming that "BlasseyTest" is the registered name of the receiver application. I don't see the string in Brad's patch for the application in bug 1048335, so it might be part of the "registration" process. We are moving from Brad's app to a more official app in bug 1056043. We should remember that this string shows up in the UI and make sure it looks good.

I changed the name of the app in the receiver application console to "Fennec Mirroring". That should bandaid this until bug 1048335 gets resolved.
