Details

This happened before; last time it was caused by bug 956401 and fixed again by bug 958550. Something broke it again since then.

Note that when bug 958550 made the clearing work again, it resulted in a TART regression on Mac: bug 961229. But that's on a Desktop GPU; on mobile GPUs clearing probably speeds things up, see bug 963549 comment 1.
