.9 .5 Installer info identifies it as 0 .9 .4
The Macintosh Installer info identidies the Mozilla 0.9.5 Milestone Installer as Mozila 0.9.4. Actual text: Version: XPInstall 1.1 Mozilla 0.9.4 Installer Expected text: Version: XPInstall 1.1 Mozilla 0.9.5 Installer I'm not sure if we have resources to fix this but it has already caused great confusion for testers. Additional Info: The User Agent has been updated and the Show info for the Mozilla application itself displays the correct 0.9.5 string. This does not affect the OS X builds because they don't have an installer (I think)
Yep, this was discovered with the Netscape installer last Friday and got fixed just on time for Netscape next release. (for netscape engineers, this is in bugscape 10609) The fix is to update a couple of strings in a binary resource file: mozilla/xpinstall/wizard/mac/rsrc/Mozilla.rsrc This doesn't affect anything _but_ the Installer's "Get info" string in the finder. All other instances of the product version inside of Mozilla will show 0.9.5 reassigning to myself, targeting 0.9.6

It's more important that a reliable process be put in place to ensure that each and every milestone and nightly release bears the proper version on the Installer. ("vers" resource #2).
...and yes, this means nightlies need to get 0.9.5+.
fixed. tomorrow 11/2's installer should show 0.9.5+ This file is now on the checklist for future version updates
