Steps to reproduce:

I think it might have started after the installation of the new version. seamonkey 2.29. Else, I'm not sure what if anything changed or what I did.


Actual results:

The 'From' field is not correct for emails.


Expected results:

The 'From' field should show who an email is from accurately.

In this attachment you can see in the top clip the 'From' field says WIlliam D. Englander. In the bottom clip it can be seen that the email is actually from Myra.

A much more serious problem I see in your screenshot is that the Mail Pane does not show the email what is highlighted in Thread Pane ("Re: For Ephi ..."), but the one below ("Michael, please add me ...")

If “yes”, please contribute a problem related step by step instruction containing every key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem due to <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines>  and some more, much more precise information:
a) A screenshot showing column headings in thread pane would be more useful
b) Where is the wrong entry: Thread Pane or Mail Pane?)
c) add information 
c1) concerning your Operating System (Version, Distribution, Language)
c2) concerning your SM localization (UI language, Locale setting)
c3) SM settings that might be related to your problems 
    May be you should attach a copy of menu 
   'Help → Trouble shooting information”
c4) how you launch SM (Double click on document? console? …)
c5) Whether problem persists in safe mode without add-ons
c6) everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts
f) Your Email-Service-Provider

I can't remember to have seen something like that.

Never confirmed by a second user, no response, so I close this one for now.
@Reporter: Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you still can reproduce the problem with a current SeaMonkey version and a current OS and if you can contribute a step by step instruction how to reproduce the problem due to <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines>  (containing every key press and every mouse click) how to reproduce the problem reliably.
