My Mozilla 0.9.5 says it doesn't have the Quicktime Plugin. But I've installed
it. I had the same problem with all the previous Mozilla versions too. Quicktime
is essential for me.

Is there a Quicktime plugin in your Plugins folder?

Yes, there's a Quicktime plugin in your Plugins folder.
Dave
Dave, Peter asked if there was a QuickTime Plug-In in YOUR plug-ins folder, not his.
Where do you have the Plug-In installed? In [Mozilla Folder/Plug-ins/]? In [System
Folder/Internet Plug-Ins/]?

Hi Greg, my mistake. Of course, I meant MY plug-ins folder. There is a
plugin in [Mozilla Folder/Plug-ins/] and in [System
Folder/Internet Plug-Ins/].

Greg,
I did as you suggested in your latest email:
You wrote: "Dave, try deleting both of those plug-ins, and reinstall
QuickTime. It should place one copy of the plug-in in System
Folder/Internet Plug-Ins, which Mozilla should use just fine. If it still doesn't
work, try trashing Mozilla's Component Registry file."
I'm sorry, but it still doesn't work. My Internet Plug-Ins folder now contains
the following software:
- QuickTime Plugin
- QuickTimePlugin.class
Both D-5.0.2
Thank you,
DAVE
Dave, can you reproduce this using a new Mozilla user profile? How about using another
Mac?
I am experiencing this bug on the nightly from 11/14 Build ID 2001111408 runing
Mac OS 8.6. When I go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime there is a message
stating that quicktime is not properly installed. I was able to use Quicktime
with 0.9.5 contrary to what the report is reporting. I have quicktime installed
identically in the 11/14 build as it was in 0.9.5. When I download a new nightly
I simply copy over my plugins from a folder I keep for this purpose. I have not
had any problems installing the Quictime plugin this way before now.

Well, I do it the same way. But it doesn't work. It never has with any build.
I'll try Mozilla 0.9.5 on my iBook next week. Let's see what happens. DAVE
