User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0
Build ID: 20140911151253

Steps to reproduce:

Firefox did an automatic update to 32.0.1 at 9/13/14 12:23AM EDT

Actual results:

No saved logins (or thus passwords) are listed under Securite->Saved Passwords.
There were Lots. Many years of firefox use.

Expected results:

Logins and Passwords should be there the same as yesterday.
Severity: normal → critical
Also lost ability to use saved passwords with upgrade to 32.0.1.

key3.db and logins.json files are both current and have saved password info in them.

Tools --> Options --> Security --> Saved Passwords dialog opens but no sites/passwords are displayed.

When on a site where password was saved previously...clicking lock next to Mozilla Foundation then More Information --> Security ...Privacy & History section shows "Unknown" for questions "Have I visited this website prior to today?" and "Have I saved any passwords for this website?"
UPDATE...
After going through the Troubleshooting Information (the three horizontal lines on address bar, then clicking the ?), I saw that there was a javascript file under "Important Modified Preferences" table. I went to that folder and found the .js file had one entry that gave McAffee authority to manage pop-ups. I deleted this .js file and restarted Firefox. Saved passwords now work again.
After researching, it seems this is a known problem: Remember Passwords 1.1 conflicts and need to be disabled or removed. The saved logins/passwords are then visible. In fact, firefox added a message to the addons list that Remember Passwords is not compatible. It would have saved many hours of screwing around if they had Disabled it automatically.
Sounds like this works without add-ons, so marking this WFM.

Regarding the issue with the add-on being disabled -- if it was incompatible with 32 at the time it was released, and if you don't have something like the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ installed, that is what happens (ie, Firefox will disable the add-on). If we didn't know at the time that it was incompatible and it wasn't marked as such, and the add-on page was updated in the meantime, Firefox wouldn't know about this and that would explain the add-on not having immediately been disabled - that or overriding the compatibility restrictions using the above or a comparable add-on/setting.
