User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 SeaMonkey/2.29 Build ID: 20140904220358 Steps to reproduce: On numerous occasions I have received a notification of a new version of Seamonkey. On numerous occasions I have said 'Yes' to the update request. Actual results: On each occasion, I've seen a message indicating that Seamonkey is retrieving the update, and it sits there doing nothing for as long as I'm willing to wait. And, I continue to get messages at least every day advising me to update Seamonkey. The messages only provide two options: try again, or 'Ask later'. Expected results: 1. You ought to have a download/install process capable of detecting the fact that it's hung, and if possible report that it doesn't work, and then stop. 2. Regardless of (1), it is reasonable to notify a user once that there is an update available. However, if the user chooses not to update, there should be a 'Dont Ask Again' option, or if the user chooses to simply close the dialog box, make the reasonable assumption that the user did not want you to 'Ask Again'. When you put a big dialog box up on the screen, it interrupts whatever the user may be doing (such as recording a live video via screen capture for example). The appropriate time to notify a user that there is an update is the next time they select your application, not just anytime you think it's important. Grow up.

Summary: Strongly recommend you add 'Stop Asking' to your recommendation that I update Seamonkey -- once is enough! → Add option 'Stop Asking until next update' to Updae Notification Message
Seems useful. A User might have good reasons to wait for next version before updates, for example because he knows about a regression in the currently recommended Version what is not acceptable for him.
Summary: Add option 'Stop Asking until next update' to Updae Notification Message → Add option 'Stop Asking until next Version' to Update Notification Message
