Problem: When you are presented with a dialog (at least in the mail/news component) to use a certificate to authenticate to a (mail) server, pressing ESC key selects the default certificate as if I had pressed ENTER key. Normally this wouldn't be a problem except that it kills my IMAP server process when the cert is presented (iPlanet issue). Expected behavior: Dialog should behave as if I pressed cancel. Reproduceable: Always Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011023
Confirming on Win2000.

See also bug 32023 for another bug complaining about the cancel button in client auth dialog. But I would have expected that using cancel in this dialog continues the connection, without giving out a certificate to the server.

Kaie, is bug 345067 relevant? And is this OS=ALL? see also bug 380862. Maybe also bug 148678, but not sure as problem may be gone and I don't use that capability
Version: psm2.4 → 1.0 Branch
Recent versions of Seamonkey and Firefox both behave normally. Now I would love to have the option to NOT use my digital certificates for authentication (so I don't get the dialog box in the first place), but that is for a feature enhancement, not here.
