Filing this for my cousin. Happy to convey ideas back and forth.
Firefox did an auto update to 32.0.1 and after that update all chaos broke out. I first tried resetting it. It allowed me to start in Safe Mode one time, and then I couldn't get in at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. The only way I have found that I can use it is to "reset" firefox. Then I have to restart my computer. After it restarts it will let me use it. However, once I close firefox I have to go through that process again to gain access or it just hangs.
(FYI, I do not know if the system is x86. It is running Windows 7.)
Any ideas?

Error message ?
Hang or crash on start ?
No UI but process in the background ?
Firefox.exe process is opened and just goes away ?
Is there some kind of third-party AV Software installed, probably with a visualization feature ?

She says, "When it is loading the screen stays blank and eventually it says "Mozilla not responding" so I have to select "close the program"."

The system is a 64 bit operating system.

Firefox hangs on startup, that's bad :-(
It could be a third-party av software that comes with an addon and installs itself directly in the repaired profile.
Creating a complete new profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles) would be an option.
Is she loading a special site as homepage on startup ?

Hello Reporter, thank you for reporting this issue.
I am not seeing any such issue on our latest released version on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.

Update Channel release
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0
If you have not done so, can you please upgrade your firefox to the latest version and let us know if you still encounter this issue. In case yes, can you try to reproduce it with a new profile?
see how to open new profile, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles.
