2001102415 trunk for MacOSX Goto URL. Auto Detect |Japanese can not be selected under View menu. If you try, the pointer in the dropdown menu remains OFF, but the coding is shown as ja_parallel_state_machine, and the URL is displayed as something similar to ISO-8859-1. If you manually switch to Shift-JIS, it works.
The above URL has meta tag that defines the charset as CHARSET=x-sjis. Manual selection works in this URL, but in another URL below, http://www02.so-net.ne.jp/~onojima/mylinks.htm you can not switch manually to ISO-2022-JP.
