We should support WiFi Calling out of the box on Firefox OS this will save our users precious data when they are near WiFi.
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All
Is the Loop project (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Loop) what you have in mind? Or you would like to make calls with VoIP?

No this requires a client app... I'm thinking WiFi calling built into Gonk.

I'd also like to see support for this feature. I use T-Mobile, which has this feature on iPhone and Android (https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1680), and it's very useful for me because I live in a high story of a large building where there is very poor cell access, so I rely on Wi-Fi Calling for my main cell line.
Firefox OS is not being worked on
