Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011026 BuildID: 2001102603 The Subscribe dialog doesn't show any available newsgroups from which to choose, nor does it show existing subscribed newsgroups. But I've learned that I can make a whole list of newsgroups appear if I type the character (in the search box) that begins the server's name. So at newsgroups.borland.com, where the naming of groups begins with "borland" I can type "b" and some groups appear. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Choose a newsgroup server 2. Activate subscribe (e.g. news.mozilla.org) 3. type the letter that begins the name of a newsgroup hierachy at the nntp server, e.g. "n" at news.mozilla.org) Actual Results: Subscribe dialog appears empty. Expected Results: Populated dialog with subscribed newsgroups checked. Also, the tree hierachy isn't represented but I figure you know about that as part of the recent additions to mail/news.
