Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
Build ID: 20140920030206

Steps to reproduce:

Be on any page where Go Back One Page or Go Forward One Page are expected to be available (e.g., open page, click on link; or open page, click on right click back button to select original page)

Actual results:

Any of the UI elements to accomplish this action are greyed out, and all shortcuts fail to work. Right clicking the back button lists the history for the page and can be used to navigate.

Expected results:

Back buttons and forward buttons should be available, and back/forward shortcuts should work.
Please check if the issue occurs using Firefox in safe mode (with your addons disabled):

And on a new, empty profile:

Component: Untriaged → Toolbars and Customization
It appears that disabling "keyword.URL Hack!" causes the issue to go away.
Sounds like it's an add-on issue.

Tom, I'm marking this as invalid, but you might want to look into this. Thanks!
