some suggestions for the feature OPEN IN NEW TAB.
1) once you have several pages opened in several tabs, one great possibility
would be MOSAIC.  Than, all pages in Tabs would be shown in the same page.  I
mean, if you have for example, 4 tabs, screen would be divided in four and each
page loaded in each quarter of page.

I can imagine a way where, once one is seeing the page divided in small blocks
and each block with a page, where one can double click on a block and see the
page "maximized"... another double click and the page returns to be a small part
of the divided screen...

That would be great.

This was requested before tabbed browser existed: bug 70245.  I don't think 
this is a good idea for the same reason I don't think tabbed browser was a good 
idea: "that's what windows are for".

Excuse me, but I think it is a good idea.  For example: open link in new tab
creates a new tab and loads page on it WITHOUT CHANGING FOCUS to that f* window,
as Winblows does.  Tabs are great if you could store tabs URL´s to a file.  When
you open it later it will bring all tabs back and loaded with the pages you were
seeing when you saved the tabs...  That Windoze cannot do.

It is a good idea. For example if you allow tiling (see bug 108589), you can 
have tabs perfectly aligned, wherease with windows you'd have to spend time to 
align them yourself.

Reporter: Can you please give more information and show some ASCII art of what 
you mean? What is the relationship of this bug to  bug 70245? Do you want 
basically 70245 combined with tabbed browsing?

BTW - I think tabbed browsing is a good idea because it gets all the windows 
off your taskbar.

WONTFIX.

Once we can move a tab to a new window, you'll be able to do this by turning all
your tabs into windows and then using your window manager's tiling features.

That's ****. The point is: we want to do it within the current frame in a single
step (which would be important for bug 105898. ) Look at Opera. What you are
suggesting (using window manager tiling feature) require multiple steps. Plus it
would fill up the entire screen space and not just the current mozilla window.

I meant bug 108589. Sometimes you have to show pages side-by-side (eg. to
compare) and it's just too hard to do it without the option of tiling tabs. I
guess I'll do it with opera.

Since tabbed browsing is an integral part of Mozilla now, it is redundant to 
have a bug for tiling and another one for tiling tabs.
